Prayer Page for the week of September 3, 2010

MISSION:  The PrayerPage is an online ministry uniting our congregation in prayer.  We wish to pray for those who are struggling with illness and depression as well as those who are looking for jobs, seeking prosperity, uplifting a loved one, finding a new car or home, etc.  Let us know when prayers have been answered so we can celebrate the changes that prayer brings. 
The Prayer Page is sent out on Fridays so send your requests by Thursday each week.

THANKSGIVING: 
Please offer prayers of thanksgiving for our successful Peace Camp and for all of those involved in making it happen!
Mike Manges:  Mike had a stay at the hospital recently after a work related incident.  He's home and recovering.  Please offer prayers of thanksgiving for his being on the mend.

NEW THIS WEEK:
Anna Walsh: Anna is at the Niagara Lutheran Home recovering from hip surgery.  She hope to be home in another week or two.  Please pray for healing and restrengthening.
Joe Verost: (Linda Verost's husband) Please continue to offer prayers for continued healing for Joe. He has been back at ECMC again this week so that the doctors could address an infection in his leg.  Please pray for strength and courage for Joe and Linda as they face this difficult and slow process together. 
Karen Smith: (Phil and Lynn's daughter-in-law) Karen was recently diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer.  Surgery has been ruled out and Karen will be treated with some aggressive chemotherapy.  The prognosis is hopeful.  Please pray that Karen is able to draw on the strength and courage of God and the love of her family and friends as she endures this course of treatment.
Lou Ward: (Kate Ward's husband)  Lou was recently admitted to the hospital.  Please pray for recuperation and renewed strength.
The McKays:  Please pray that they enjoy a wonderful, restful vacation!
Please offer prayers for safe and hassle free journeys for all who are traveling this holiday weekend.

Employment: During these difficult times some of our members and friends are finding themselves out of work, unable to work or working on a temporary basis.  Please pray that they remain grounded in their faith, are able to make ends meet and find the employment that they seek:
Mike’s sister: (Mike Rogers) Mike’s sister has been laid off.  Please pray that she find new employment.
Libby Miller: (Natalie Lockwood’s cousin) Please pray that she find new employment soon.
Richard Ciancosi: That he find a new job.
Rebekah: (Marianne’s niece) is looking for a new job as a music teacher.

Peter R.: (Mike Roger’s cousin) Peter may have surgery to remove a cancerous tumor the week of 4/19.  Please pray for the best possible results.
