Outside In: Gay-Straight Alliance Pilgrim-St. Luke’s Gay Straight Alliance is a faith-based group of people dedicated to helping provide a welcoming, open, caring, and supportive place for all those who celebrate diversity and value social justice for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people in our churches and community. We believe that no individual, or group, should be marginalized. As members of Pilgrim-St. Luke’s Church, we affirm our common connection as children of God and our church community as one that has been brought together through the love of Jesus Christ. We value the diversity among our congregation and throughout our communities. We give thanks for the unique, individual talents and gifts bestowed on all people and believe that together we are enriched as one Body of Christ.

Pilgrim-St. Luke’s Gay Straight Alliance works to welcome all LGBT people, share our experiences, foster inclusion and diversity, support and strengthen our congregation, and promote social justice through community involvement.
The Alliance is especially proud to participate on behalf of Pilgrim-St. Luke’s Church in Buffalo’s Gay Pride Parade and Festival each year in June. Church members march in the parade along Elmwood Avenue and then set up an information table and tent at the Erie Canal Harbor as the festival continues.
