Procedures

1. The purpose of the newsletter is to: a) connect others with the church (evangelism), b) increase the participation of those already connected with the church, c) promote relationships with each other by telling about our lives, d) help our members keep the church and its activities foremost in their minds so that they might promote it to others, e) be a tool for long-range planning, f) maintain connections with folks who are homebound or far away (e.g., college students), and g) project an image of vitality and rich programming by reporting on past, present, and future events.
2. A calendar of events will be published in every newsletter.
3. Michele will continue to implement the system she uses to send the newsletter to visitors and discontinue mailing after a significant period if no further connection is made.
4. People with email service, which they access on a regular basis, will be given the option of receiving the newsletter by email attachment while discontinuing the mailed copy.  This will only go into effect for those who opt for it.  
5. We will include the following in every issue:  a) a standing list of all small groups (such as is included in the church's Sunday bulletin), and b) a box for information about anticipated dates for VOICEBuffalo.
